Fun family adventure on a Saturday afternoon! Price of admission is decent and the food inside is also decently priced. The exhibits are great for the younger kids in your family, and there are quite a few good hourly presentations. The Hippo feeding was awesome! Overall, it takes about 3 hours to walk through the entire Aquarium, which feel very quick. It's not as large as the National Aquarium in Baltimore, but overall I was impressed. The shark tunnel is also a hit with the kids!
Overpriced and what's up with the ghetto types? But it's the animals that count, and they were amazingly entertaining. The aquarium is much larger than I had expected, although not nearly as huge as Baltimore's. It was full of surprise exhibits, which both kids and seniors loved. The sharks were stunning. Waits can be tediously long and loud. The food was pricey but surprisingly good. Our family liked this place so much that we may have to visit every month and just endure the $300 in total costs. Then again, we might as well visit the real thing in Baltimore for the same price.
Not as big as expected, but had a great time. Went in December so there were Christmas trees everywhere including a large underwater one in the shark area. For an aquarium, you can touch a lot of animals which was amazing. I got to touch 2 sharks, several starfish, sea cucumber, sea urchin, sting ray, horseshoe crab, and a blue lobster. There was a large tank with fish, turtles, and some sharks and a 2nd large tank with more sharks and fish. The shark tank also has a shark tunnel to walk through where the sharks swim around you and a shark walk, where you walk over the shark tank in an enclosed rope bridge.
We decided to visit during a trip to PA for the holidays and we have a pretty good time. It was packed with more adults trying to see fish than adults. My 2 year old got knocked down by a 40 yr old Asian man trying to take pictures of sting rays
This is a good sized aquarium, with a lot of attractions. Probably one of the most unique attractions is the pair of Hippo's that reside at the aquarium, along with the Shark Tunnel, and, of course, the Shark Bridge. We also enjoyed the simulated thunderstorm in the rainforest display, and seeing the sea turtles swimming about. They have lots of other fish displays, with several locations where visitors can reach in and touch different creatures. It seems to be geared more towards families with younger children. Our kids are in high school & beyond, so it was not as appealing to us, but we saw lots of families with younger children who were really enjoying the many attractions geared more towards them. But for us, while it was still an enjoyable visit, we'll probably go elsewhere to visit our next aquarium.
